An evaluation was
carried out of the operations of SARM during the period 6th to 10th July 2011
in terms of the INS Project.
The evaluation was
carried out by Graham Holloway (Independent consultant) under terms of
reference provided by ISO Central Secretariat. The evaluation included
interviews, meetings and visits to sections of SARM, a stakeholder workshop,
and a visit to the Armenian Deputy Minister of Economy, together with a study
of relevant documentation, including a position paper supplied by SARM prior to
the commencement of the evaluation.
Although the INS
Project aims to strengthen especially the standards development capabilities of
target institutions, other sections of SARM were visited during the week to
provide background information.
Based on the results
of carried out evaluation, Mr. Holloway prepared a summary report with his
observations and recommendations, which has been further communicated to the
ISO Central Secretariat.
