The seminar was organized by the National Institute of Standards and the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). It was related to ISO 26000 «Social Responsibility Guidelines»  international standard project. The seminar was attended  40 persons from 10 organization. The seminar was chaired by Mr. Martin Neureytere from Austria.

Organizations for sustainable activities should not only provide products which meet consumer demands and service and damage the environment, but also to act socially responsible manner. Such practices imposed by the buyer, consumer, government, unions and the society. The same time organization sighted leaders understand that the continuing success must be based upon reliable business practices and actions on the prevention, such as calculation error and labor exploitation of. There were the Announcements about SR statements, on the other hand, there are numerous individual SR projects and initiatives. The problem is on how to practically apply the principles of social responsibility and ensure an effective contribution in the case when even the "social responsibility" concept may be different in different programs. Perceived the previous initiatives  were focused, corporate social response natvutyan, on, while the ISO 26000 standard will provide a SR guide not only for business organizations, but also for a public organizations. The ISO 26000 standard will reveal “social responsibility” the importance of the concept of comprehensive and will help organizations to determine those actions which are aimed at ensuring social responsibility.

The goal of the seminar was.

-The general idea about ISO 26000 standard (concepts and inportance)

-To discuss the contents of standard for armenian organizations

- Development of further steps and the correct understanding by the concerned sides

During the seminar discussed several issues related to social responsibility with the concept of integration advantages. In particular, the ISO 26000 standard can help organizations of all kinds providing indications of the following

- related concepts of social responsibility

- social Responsibility prerequisites, directions and features

- social responsibility principles and methods

- the main issues of social responsibility and issues

- its sphere of influence

- involvment of concerned sides

During the seminar, took place numerous discussions, participants were given practical tasks and discussion groups then presented the views of social organizations on the introduction of the concept of responsibility.

In today’s world we need to have a high level of expectation that things will work the way we expect them to work. 

Boosting the free movement of services by facilitating the definition of services standards at European level is also the aim of CEN and CENELEC. An effective services market is of utmost importance in generating growth and jobs in Europe.
